Beicang Road Cable-Stayed Swing Bridge in Handan Successfully Rotated into Position
Source: Date:2026年01月07日

Recently, the Beicang Road Cable-Stayed Swing Bridge, the core structure of the Pengjiazhai Interchange Project in Handan undertaken by the Shijiazhuang Company of China Railway Sixth Group, successfully completed a precise 76-degree rotation at a height of 15 meters, with the 15,000-ton bridge superstructure accurately connected across both sides of the Beijing–Guangzhou Railway.

To meet the zero-interference requirement for the Beijing–Guangzhou Railway, which operates an average of 134 pairs of trains daily, the construction team completed the relocation of signaling, power supply, and communication equipment in advance, carried out works during designated railway maintenance windows, and implemented full-process monitoring through a third-party linear monitoring system. To achieve millimeter-level precision in the rotation process, a BIM + fiber-optic sensing intelligent monitoring system was developed, with eight sensors transmitting real-time data; repeated calculations over three months ensured a zero-deviation connection. Meanwhile, a combination of protective piles and double-row water-stop curtains was adopted to address the challenges of deep foundation pit construction under a groundwater level of 3.5 meters.
