Recently, the Stockholm Metro Blue Line Extension Project 8715 in Sweden, constructed by China Railway Tunnel Group under CREC, successfully passed final acceptance and was officially handed over, with representatives from the owner, third-party acceptance body, and contractors present to witness the occasion.
Project 8715 is the core contract section of Stockholm’s first newly built metro project in nearly half a century. It includes earthwork excavation, concrete works, and partial design tasks, covering approximately 1,030 meters of tunnel, a 230-meter station and ticket hall, entrance and exit halls, ventilation shafts, and escalator shafts.
The Stockholm Metro Blue Line extension includes projects such as 8714 and 8715. The tunnel of Project 8714 was successfully completed in January 2025. Upon completion and operation, Project 8715 will work in synergy with related projects such as 8714, reducing commuting time between central Stockholm and Nacka to about 10 minutes, thereby facilitating travel for residents along the route and boosting regional vitality.
