LUANDA, Angola — On February 9 local time, Angolan Vice President Esperança da Costa visited the Uíge Provincial Water Supply Network Project undertaken by China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group under CREC for an on-site inspection.

Vice President Costa received a briefing on the project’s progress and overall planning at the site and personally visited several completed household pipeline connection points that have already been handed over. She noted that the Uíge water supply network project is a key livelihood project for the region, and seeing local residents now able to access safe and convenient tap water fully demonstrates its significant social benefits.

It is reported that the Uíge Provincial Water Supply Network Project in Angola was awarded on November 11, 2020, and officially commenced on January 20, 2025, with a construction period of 30 months and a contract value of approximately USD 9.82 million. The project scope includes the installation of 98 kilometers of pipelines, associated valve installations, and household connections for 12,000 homes.
