Hohhot News — Recently, the dedicated railway line for the 2×1,000 MW coal-power integrated expansion project of Jinshan Thermal Power Plant under Inner Mongolia Energy Group was officially put into operation.
The project is a core supporting project for the Phase III expansion of Jinshan Thermal Power Plant, with a total length of 5.5 kilometers. The Hohhot Key Engineering Project Department of China Railway Sixth Group was responsible for constructing two new empty-car lines, one loaded-car line, and two arrival-departure tracks, as well as auxiliary works including a railway dispatching complex building, wagon inspection passages, and drainage facilities.
Following its commissioning, the dedicated railway line for the Jinshan Thermal Power Plant expansion project has not only resolved the bottleneck in coal transportation for the plant, but also improved the integrated energy supply system of production, supply, storage and sales in western Inner Mongolia, injecting new momentum into the optimization and upgrading of the regional energy structure.
