


On August 6, train set D7271 departed from Harbin Station for an operational trial run and arrived at Yichun West Station via the Harbin–Yichun High-Speed Railway, marking the launch of timetable operation trials for the Harbin–Yichun High-Speed Railway, in which China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group, a subsidiary of CREC, is participating in construction.
The Harbin–Yichun High-Speed Railway is currently the highest-latitude and northernmost high-speed railway under construction in China. The main line is 318 kilometers long and has a designed operating speed of 250 kilometers per hour. China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group is responsible for 52.022 kilometers of trackbed engineering under Contract Section 2 of the Tieli–Yichun section, as well as track-laying works totaling 238.06 kilometers across the entire Tieli–Yichun section and portions of the Harbin–Tieli section.
During the operational trials, relevant departments will strictly follow actual operating standards and conduct tests including train timetable parameter testing, fault simulations, emergency rescue drills, and timetable-based train operation trials. By simulating the railway’s formal operating conditions, the trials will comprehensively verify transport organization, train arrivals and departures, service frequency, the operating status of passenger service facilities, and compatibility among various systems, providing a scientific basis for the railway’s official opening to traffic.
Once the Harbin–Yichun High-Speed Railway is completed and opened to traffic, travel time between Harbin and Yichun will be reduced from approximately seven hours to less than two hours. The railway will not only effectively expand the reach of China’s high-speed rail network in Northeast China and accelerate the development of the regional tourism industry, but also strengthen economic ties between China’s northern border regions and economically developed inland areas, creating a new engine for regional economic growth.
